Transition to Hugo
This website has gone through several changes over the years. It began as a tikiwiki and was after some years converted to drupal. After several upgrades, that were not always painless, I think it’s time to move on.
Both content management systems were probably overkill (and tikiwiki was terribly slow). Now, the site is created with Hugo, a static website engine. For the initial conversion, I shamelessly copied Rob Hyndman’s generously shared configuration. This sped up the transition tremendously.
It will still take some time, though, before I will have modified everything in a way that I like…
Funny thing: One reason why I chose Hugo was the availability of an R package for Hugo that allows to maintain and administer the website from within RStudio. I am not yet sure whether I will use this feature. Right now, I work on the good old cli and write with mcedit. All posts by date · All posts by subject
